The winds of “change” unlikely to sweep through intelligence policy?

The WSJ reports here that Obama is unlikely to “radically overhaul controversial Bush administration intelligence policies.” An astounding (and for some, thrilling) possibility, one that could be believed in light of his recent vote in favor of a law to expand eavesdropping powers for the NSA.

On a related note, Obama plans to close G’tmo and prosecute the detainees in the U.S., a feat perhaps easier said than done. Perhaps maintaining G’tmo while the new administration crafts a legal system that can handle enemy combatants is a solution? Click here at WSJ.com for related op-eds.

Read my earlier post regarding rather prescient advice for Obama from James E. Baker, judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces ["Law Readiness is all," (here) ].
